Beginning at the end:

Bed at 2 am after a 45-minute conversation with my roommate in which we workshop personal definitions of the word “corny” and its essence

Sleep in:

Up at 10:30 am- out of bed at 11:20 am  

Wait for the bathroom

brush my hair, put a sweater on over my cotton nightgown & breakfast

Earl Grey and whole, dried cranberries

Read 10 pages “How We Are Hungry”

Waste time on my phone: scroll, read someone else’s blog 

12 pm:

Text June

Pants on under nightgown, move to studio 

Situate one’s self: back barn door open, heater on, materials pulled, blanket down, music running 

2 pm

Reins pack job complete

Lunch break: peanut butter and jelly sandwich, good bread, extra crunchy peanut butter, blackberry preserves 

20min to play on phone 

3 pm

Address boxes and deep clean studio 

5 pm 

Change nightgown to silk tank top 

Leave to go to the storage unit

Drop work at storage unit and break one piece in the process 

Visit Laura C Wheelwright installation at the plant, chat with the artist and site manager

6:20 pm

Return home

Load artworks in the car

Sit down & think about diner 

Finish cleaning studio 

7:20 pm

Throw away my bouquet because it smells weird, and dead flowers harbor negative energy. 

Freshen up: tidy room, hang laundry, wash face

Find passport 

Pack snacks for drive 

Remove artworks from car to ease border crossing tomorrow morning

Read 10 pages “How We Are Hungry”, change my pants, put on a necklace, pick jacket and shoes 

8:30 pm

Drive to the hill

Pizza and one pilsner with Clem 

We discuss:

the need to Do It 

                      younger siblings having children 

                      plus one to a wedding 

                      busy weekend 

                      deep-rooted exhaustion & recovery 

                      scales of attraction as related to geography

                      body image and aura 

                      nursery commissions, related language choice, and symbology of flowers
